Water restoration: Flooded basement cleanup
For years the basement filled with water every year. I never gave it a second thought. Rain leaks were just something in the eastern part of the country we learned to live with. I didn’t know that without getting the proper water extractions or water cleanup, my basement was full of dangerous mold and bacteria. It wasn’t until we got ready to move that I realized that we had a problem.
The home inspector found flood damage in the crawl space and suggested we call a water damage restoration company. I was afraid of what they would find and how much it would cost. They told me they not only dealt in water damage, they worked with water mitigation, toilet overflow problems, fire sprinkler, and even hot water heater leaks.
911 Restoration gave me an excellent quote for cleaning up the water damage and explained that it was important to use professional help when water damage restoration is needed. It was not a job for the inexperienced and besides I did not have all the right equipment to do the job.
Now I know that it is important to take care of water standing around the house, whether it is from a ruptured hose or plumbing leaks. It needs to be taken care of, so in the future I will always call a professional to save money and get the problem taken care of.
